Carter finds joy in the discovery of new ideas. This relentless curiosity makes him excited to get out of bed in the morning- to learn, to be challenged, to grow. The self-described stubborn optimist lets this mentality leak into nearly every facet of his life as he tries every club, activity, and sport of vague interest to him. He’s a comic (he’d like to think) when he’s on the stage performing stand-up or improv. However, his affinity for performance doesn’t stop at the pursuit of laughter as he plays trumpet in the jazz band and has acted in many plays. He also loves expanding his knowledge and challenging his brain by going to various academic clubs such as history bowl, ethics bowl, science bowl, the Junior Classical League, and math club. However, what he finds most rewarding is the tutoring he does on Saturday nights where he’s able to share his knowledge with others.
He’s currently a senior at Harvard-Westlake School. He has two older brothers (who’ve graduated college) and two dogs (who have not).
